Setting the Record Straight on "Discontinued"
You may see older internal notes claiming Intel fully killed Gaudi software and froze it at version 1.23.x. That's not quite right, and it matters for how we plan:
Intel only archived the open-source SynapseAI repo (a developer-facing GitHub project) in February 2025.
The actual software we deploy comes from Intel's private “Vault” repository, and it kept shipping new releases — 1.24.1 is the current one as of this writing.
Security patches are still possible; they're just slower and lower-priority than they used to be.
Bottom line: treat Gaudi software as
slowing down, not
frozen. Keep checking for new releases every month (see
Keeping Software and Firmware Current) instead of assuming there's nothing left to check.
